This website for DBC was to form a window on church life, Christianity and a resource for use by the community and local business. Right from the very start of the project it was important to reflect real life through the use of bright colour and photography of the church members themselves. Mike Leach Creative brought in All Things Photography to work with them on the photo shoot with some amazing results. The use of these photos throughout the site in a large format brings a sense of fun and life to the whole site making it an inviting place for all ages and for all users the site attracts.

Key to the site is also the building hire section where we employed an interactive map where clicking on certain rooms within the map will bring up a photo of the room. An automated booking form has been tailor made for the local community book rooms within the centre.

We have also integrated into the site a blog for the pastor of the church to use. Church members can then make comment on the issues raised and a discussion formed.

The activities pages include an introduction from the leader/organiser of the activity. This helps to further one of the core aims of the site which is to make it all about people. We feel that the website we have put together reflects what it feels like when you step foot inside Dorchester Baptist Church.
